Last year, we were fortunate enough to be given a grant by the Northampton Education Foundation. This grant allowed the library to get 30 new chromebooks, safe storage for the chromebooks, plus a subscription to an online video editing program. The purpose of this grant was to support a project for the 6th grade Social Studies students wherein we partnered with a school in Ghana to do a "cultural exchange" program. Our students sent questions about life in Ghana to the students at our sister school (Odumase Extension School, located in Kumasi, Ghana) and created videos about various elements of culture here in Northampton to send to Odumase. We at the library wanted to share with you just a few of the excellent videos made by the students in Ms. Zamer's classes, as well as a video about our students' experiences making those videos. Thank you so much to the Northampton Education Foundation for their generosity!
