Welcome back, everyone!
Now, I am sure you're all familiar with Rick Riordan and the many series he has written, including Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase, the Kane Chronicles, and more. But did you know that he teamed up with Disney's book publication company to help get books by BIPOC authors - with BIPOC protagonists - published? The "Rick Riordan Presents" series is comprised of books by BIPOC authors which use the mythology and lore from African, Latin American, Indigenous American, and Asian cultures to create the world of their books (similar to how Riordan uses Greek, Roman, and Nordic folklore in his stories). There are a number of Youtube videos which show Riordan discussing these books with their authors. Over the next few posts, I will share some of these videos with you!
